Doña Irma, an entrepreneur, runs a “tienda” (shop) and sells meals in her home. She was part of our Micro-Enterprise program and is the president of the Piedra Santa community. She tells us…
“I want to positively influence parents and teach them how to love their children. I like to advise people so they can communicate better and avoid fighting since I would see and hear many happening in the community. Thank God, people are paying attention and listening.”
She is empowered to solve problems in her community but is aware that there is always room for improvement. Currently, she goes to one of our community centers and partakes in one of our leadership workshops. Doña Irma is an example of love, compassion, dedication and effort.
